the miller lines
My mom, Zora, separated from her last husband and moved up to Palisades, Idaho to marry a man that she was corresponding to through the mail. His surname was Miller (Jr.). He is still living; so, I'll only reveal his last name. However, both Zora and Mr. Miller had separated from their spouses so both had to wait for their divorces to go through before they were able to be married. Zora's divorce from her last husband went through on 21 June 1971. After Zora died, Mr. Miller married Zora's sister. Because of this, I often refer to Zora's sister now as "Aunt Mom".

After James death, Sarah (Searcy) Miller entered into a polygamy marriage with John Hopwood Beazard or Bezzard. There were several other marriages of Sarah (Searcy) Miller and the whole matter can get very confusing. So, instead of me trying to explain it all, please download the sarah_searcy_history.pdf below and read it:
A short history of Sarah Searcy, daughter of Robert Searcy and Mary Spivey:
Sarah married James J. Miller, 4 Sep 1831, Montgomery County, Illinois. Died in Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinois. Children - Mary Jane Miller, Martha Ann Miller, Samuel Robert Miller, Elijah Miller, John Miller, Jacob Miller, Eliza Miller.
Sarah married John Hopwood Bleazard, 30 Mar 1846, Winter Quarters, Pottawattamie, Iowa. Children - Dorcas Searcy Bleazard, John Searcy Bleazard, Mariam Bleazard, James Searcy Bleazard, Ellen Searcy Bleazard, Thomas Blazzard.
Sarah left John Hopwood Bleazard whilst he was off at a trading post (later Las Vegas) working for the LDS Church.
Sarah married George Pectol, 12 Mar 1861, Manti, Sanpete, Utah.
Sarah traveled with the Wilford Woodruff Company which departed 14-16 June 1850 and arrived in Salt Lake Valley, 14 October 1850. About 209 individuals and about 44 wagons were in the company when it began its journey from the outfitting post at Kanesville, Iowa (present day Council Bluffs).
It has been reported Sarah is buried in Old South Section. Unfortunately, the cemetery only has a list of people buried there but no lot numbers. Many grave stones are missing due to old age and a flood that occurred there ca. 1900.
